Designed by Seth Raynor and Tom Doak the Camargo Club’s Camargo golf course, which opened in 1925. Among other honors, the Camargo Club’s golf course is ranked No. 44 among U.S. golf courses, and 89th in the world. Camargo Club’s course is best known for its routing and the ability to go for one-shotters.

The Golf Club is a course, and naturally a golf club too, which opened at New Albany, close to Columbus in Ohio, in 1967. It’s one of Pete Dye’s earliest and most understated creations, and the course feels mature way beyond its years. The Golf Club has never hosted a significant tournament, so very little is widely known about the course.

Designed by Donald Ross, the golf course opened in 1916 and has hosted five PGA/USGA tournaments. According to The New World Atlas of Golf, “Scioto is the course where Jack Nicklaus developed from a pudgy junior to a world beater. In 2008 Jack Nicklaus and Michael Hurdzan’s award-winning renovation at Scioto was unveiled, which involved rebuilding Dick Wilson’s greens to USGA standard.

Inverness was founded in 1903 and built a nine-hole golf course. The course was extended to 18 holes in 1915 but Donald Ross put Inverness on the map when the club hired him in 1916 to turn Inverness into a full-blown championship course. By 1920 Inverness welcomed professionals into their clubhouse, the first club in the USA to do so.

Alec “Nipper” Campbell designed the golf course of the Moraine Country Club and it opened for play in 1930. Hosted the 1945 PGA Championship, Moraine received a Dick Wilson (Joe Lee) makeover in 1954.In 2015, Moraine was returned to Nipper’s Scottish roots by Keith Foster. Major renovation was conducted that includes total greens reconstruction, fairway widening/regrassing and the reintroduction of long-lost bunkers.

The Country Club hosted the U.S. Women’s Amateur in 2012 when spectators and competitors appreciated such a fine example of William Flynn’s architectural expertise. The Country Club moved to its present-day site at Pepper Pike, 40 years after its formation in 1889. new course was laid out for the members by William Flynn – a layout that later garnered national recognition by hosting the US Amateur Championships in 1935.

The 18-hole Pepper Pike Club in Pepper Pike, OH is a private golf course that opened in 1924. Designed by Howard C. Toomey and William S. Flynn. The club’s founders were members of Mayfield Country Club (now Mayfield Sand Ridge Club).Pepper Pike recently renovated its clubhouse which completed in 2020. The layout is now as close to the original design intent of architect William Flynn as when the course first debuted.
