Like Shadow Creek, Fallen Oak was designed by Tom Fazio as an oasis removed from the glitzy lights of a gambling town. Some say that Fallen Oak has better layout due to its natural setting. The course held the inaugural Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic on the Champions Tour in 2010.

Designed by Seymour Dunn, the Laurel golf course opened in 1917. Founded in 1917, Laurel Country Club is the oldest country club in Mississippi. The club engaged Scottish professional Seymour Dunn to set out a course for the membership and two years later the layout was ready for play, hosting its first tournament on the 14th of February 1920.
