To make your day even more enjoyable don’t waste it sitting in a golf cart. Get some exercise, enjoy the day, and choose one of the best golf push carts to help you make this experience happen.

In this article, we’re going to be reviewing the following push carts:

Choosing a Golf Push Cart

Walking a golf course with someone you care about is one of the best experiences in the world. When the weather is nice and you have carved out a few hours of your day to spend focused time together, sometimes it does not even matter how well you hit the ball. Walking a golf course, however, can be physically taxing which can take some of the joy out of the experience. Lugging a huge golf bag full of clubs around on your back can make anyone tired and irritable no matter what type of shape you are in. That is why choosing one of the best golf push carts available is so important. This purchase will allow you to enjoy your day more without the grind of carrying that bag around on your back.

Do everyone a favor though and don’t be like this guy with your push cart:

The Benefits of a Golf Push Cart

A push cart is essentially a caddy who cannot help you choose a club. It does all of the heavy lifting for you in terms of holding the clubs and allowing you to store your gloves, drinks, balls, hats, etc. while you focus on your game. There are other, cheaper options out there, but a push cart is the easiest and best way to walk around of golf without being too tired to move or talk at the end of the round.

When you plan to spend a day on the course, you have a few options of how to carry your clubs around. Most people today choose to rent a golf cart from the clubhouse and ride around the course with their clubs on the back. This option provides convenience and quickness but at the expense of exercise. On top of that, there is something inherently less enjoyable about riding around on a golf cart all day than walking the grass, feeling the hills, and being a part of the course.

There are some courses where carts are not an option and there are some people who either do not want to pay the fee or would rather walk the course. When this is the case, oftentimes those people carry their clubs on their back either with a normal golf bag (this is not advisable) or with a bag designed for walking (usually lighter and with double straps to carry like a backpack). You have probably seen these guys walking the course, and you have probably played through in your cart while they were taking too much time struggling up the hill to the next green.

Then there are the golfers who have taken the time to choose the right golf push cart. They walk the course with ease as the big wheels, sturdy base, and hand brake make it easy to go over any terrain and up or down hills. They arrive at the 10th hole not out of breath and looking fresh like they could play all day. They are enjoying their day and their experience and they are getting some exercise while they do it. These are the benefits of a golf push cart. You can enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played without all of the hassle and physical exhaustion of carrying huge bags of clubs around all day.

Best Golf Push Carts in 2022 Reviewed

Clicgear 4.0

Clicgear, with their 3.5 model, redefined the push cart category and has only continued on that trend with the 4.0.

From the new silicone bag strap system to the new and adjustable upper saddle, the Clicgear just continues to improve. The cart folds down for easy storage and weighs in at only 21 pounds which make it extremely portable.

Pros

  • A very sturdy, airplane grade aluminum is extremely durable while maintaining a lower weight.
  • Folds and stores easily.
  • Front wheel engaged hand brake.
  • No matter how heavy, the golf bag does not make the front wheel drag.
  • The smoothest rolling cart on the list.
  • Great additional storage features.
  • Umbrella mount and bracket.

Cons

  • Not as compact when folded as some other options.
  • Somewhat higher price tag.

Qwik Fold 3

The new “press button” fold makes it even easier than ever to transform this push golf cart from the close to the course.

The ball-bearing wheels glide across turf and asphalt with ease and are very durable. An adjustable handle height makes it a great fit no matter your size.

Pros

  • Strong aluminum construction.
  • Easy to fold and store.
  • Lightweight.
  • The simplicity of design is a breath of fresh air rather than trying to cram as many unneeded attachments as possible.
  • Adjustable height handle.
  • Can hold any size bag with the capacity to hold as many accessories as you could use.

Cons

  • A more expensive option.
  • Front wheel does not pivot.

Clicgear Rovic RV1S

Slightly smaller and lighter than the Clicgear 4.0, the RV1s is a great and compact push cart.

With a swiveling front wheel, large console, and the ability to fold down more than most carts, the Clicgear Rovic RV1s is a great option.

Pros

  • Folds down to a very small size for easy storage and portability.
  • Swiveling front wheel.
  • Made from durable aluminum.
  • 3 year warranty.

Cons

  • Foot Brake can be a little cumbersome.
  • Does not review as well with golfers as the 4.0 even at a similar price point.

Sun Mountain Pathfinder 4

A good golf push cart at a good price.

Additional bungee cords hold the bag in place no matter the conditions and the added storage is unmatched. This is a smaller profile and lighter golf cart than many others on the list, but the durability of the cart is in question because of this.

Pros

  • Two-stage fold allows to fold down even smaller than previous models.
  • Great extra storage attachments and designs.
  • Adjustable bungee cords allow it to hold almost any size cart.
  • Comes in multiple colors.
  • One of the lightest cars on the list.

Cons

  • Hand brake is not positioned well and is overly sensitive.
  • Aluminum tubing is not as thick or durable as other carts.

Bag Boy TriSwivel II

This is the easiest to fold and most compact cart on the list.

The front wheel swivels which makes a huge difference in maneuverability, but it also locks into the straight position very easily. This cart has more up-to-date features than any of the others on the list, but some of the negatives associated with the cart could be difficult to overcome.

Pros

  • More technologically advanced than the other carts on the list
  • The front wheel swivels or locks into place
  • It is very lightweight at only 16 pounds
  • It is easy to store and easy to fold
  • Comes with an umbrella holder and drink holder

Cons

  • The cart is made with more plastic than other carts which could decrease its lifespan
  • It is even more expensive than the Clicgear from the first review
  • No cell phone holder
  • Fewer add-on accessories are available

Big Max Blade Quattro

The Big Max Blade Quattro is the first push cart we are reviewing that has four rather than three wheels.

This can be both an advantage and a disadvantage for a push cart. The fourth wheel allows for the cart to be slimmer while maintaining its sturdiness but it also adds weight and takes away from the maneuverability of the cart. This is also the most expensive cart we will review. It is a high quality cart but lacks some of the accessories and potential add-ons that many of the other carts have as well.

Pros

  • A slim base that makes it more compact and easier to store
  • The fourth wheel makes it sturdy no matter the size of the bag
  • You can adjust for height
  • A smooth ride no matter the size of the load

Cons

  • This is the most expensive cart we will review
  • Less accessories and no bag connected to the base
  • More difficult to maneuver

Bag Boy Quad XL

The Bag Boy Quad XL is similar to the previously reviewed Bag Boy Triswivel II as far as features and quality go.

The Quad XL has four wheels which make it both slimmer and easier to store than most three wheel models. It can handle any bag while maintaining a smooth ride and its large back wheels give it the ability to pass over almost any terrain.

Pros

  • Very compact with a thin wheel base
  • Easy to fold and store
  • The price is on the lower end making this cart a great value
  • As light as any of the other push carts even with the added fourth wheel
  • Oversized back wheels
  • A huge amount of storage including a cellphone/GPS holder, oversized cup holder, umbrella holder, and even a mesh basket near the handles.
  • Can handle stand or cart bags

Cons

  • There are issues with the parking brake not working or breaking off altogether
  • Taller players will have trouble using some of the features
  • No zipper on the mesh bag so that things fall out easily
