Shinnecock Hills is believed to be the oldest incorporated golf club in the United States. The original twelve hole golf course was designed by Willie Davis, and expanded to eighteen holes in the spring of 1895. It has hosted several important events, notably five U.S. Opens, most recently being in 2018. It is routinely ranked as one of the greatest golf courses in the world.

Fishers Island Club was designed by Seth Raynor that was ranked ninth in the 2009 Golf Digest list of America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses. The golf course has been called the “Cypress Point of the East” and is also referred to by its members as “The Big Club”. The course opened in July 1926, a few months after the death of its architect, Seth Raynor.

The course first opened on May 29, 1897 as the Island Golf Links, a nine-hole layout for guests of the Garden City Hotel. Designed by Devereux Emmet, it was soon expanded to eighteen holes. The club was founded in 1899, and is also known as the “Garden City Men’s Club” or simply the “Men’s Club”.

Bethpage Golf Course is one of the most popular and cherished golf courses in the nation. Opened in 1936, it was designed by Bethpage State Park superintendent Joseph H. Burbeck. Bethpage State Park was developed from an estate owned by the Yoakum family and other properties. In 2002, the Black Course hosted the U.S. Open, which returned in 2009, as well as the 2019 PGA Championship.

William Tucker originally desgined a basic nine-hole course while Willie Park Junior was the architect responsible for refashioning Maidstone and it’s a masterpiece. It was founded as a 7-hole course in 1894 and expanded to eighteen holes in 1899. The Club derives its name from the original name for East Hampton, which was Maidstone, named after Maidstone in England.
