Designed by golf course architects Alister MacKenzie and Perry Maxwell in 1929. Consistently ranked among the top courses in the United States which ranked 10th for 2007–08 by Golf Digest. The name Crystal Downs was bestowed on the course by Benjamin P. Merrick, it was likened to the view from the hilltop where the clubhouse now stands to an English “downs.”

Designed by Donald Ross: the South Course (1918) and the North Course (1923). Opened in 2001 with the motto “In the spirit of the game”. The course is covered with rolling hills of natural terrain and more than 120 bunkers in which the designer Mike DeVries used much of the natural landscape to shape the course.

The club was named after a brook, which ran through the property. Its golf course hosted the PGA Championship in 1955. Meadowbrook also hosted the Motor City Open in 1948, 1949, 1954, and 1959. Meadowbrook Country Club was opened in 1916 and designed by Willie Park, Jr.

Situated in northern Michigan’s lower peninsula. It began its operation at the start of the new millennium as a private facility. Layout was designed by Tom Weiskopf.
