Frequently ranked among the best golf courses in the United States. The club was founded by Emerson Carey and his four sons in the mid-1930s. Funded and constructed, at least in part, by the Works Progress Administration under the New Deal. First 9 holes were designed by Perry Maxwell and the second 9 holes by his son Press Maxwell.

Founded in 1896 in Kansas City, Missouri and today located in Mission Hills, Kansas. The course was designed by A.W. Tillinghast and later redesigned by Robert Trent Jones. The Kansas City Country Club is one of the oldest country clubs west of the Mississippi River. It hosted many regional and national tournaments including the first Trans-Mississippi Amateur.

Designed by Dr. Marvin H. Ferguson, the Wolf Creek golf course opened in 2007. Dr. Ferguson maybe unknown in the world of golf course architecture but he definitely portrayed an important role in developing the USGA’s method for green construction.
